In contrast to many organizations for children and young people, our young members work in many important functions themselves and are thus involved in the work of the association.

Most of the junior members of Teckids e.V. have previously participated in one of our workshops or have experience in the fields of IT or technology. In this way, they can pass on their knowledge of the various topics to other participants. During regular meetings, the teams work together on the preparation and develop their own ideas for the topics.

But Teckids isn't just about workshops. The young members participate in all areas of the association's work, such as preparing events. For this, accommodation, meals and activities such as museum visits have to be organized. Young people can contribute to the association's goal of spreading free software in education, both directly in their own schools and indirectly in the "FOSS" team. The junior members can also be active on the board and in the administration as well as in public relations.

In all of these areas, adolescents and young adults can, for example, learn how to use a ticket system or version management software to work on projects together.
